For the past decade, drawing and painting have been a form of meditation to me. As I draw with pencil and then paint with watercolors, my hand and mind run free — nothing is intentional or studied.  The result is mostly abstract. The color palette is not predetermined but flows naturally with the contrast of warm vs cool. On the other hand, the execution is quite disciplined.

I draw inspiration from everything I see, experience and hear, especially the soundtrack in my life. Patterns and textures and the relationships between them particularly interest me.  The spiral is my favorite shape and shows up in many of my paintings. I also like ribbons that unravel and flow across a surface.
